- This is the question we are asked most often, and we hope that the blog below helps.
- The difference is they should be used where they excel and that depends on what you want to use them for.
- First of all, they are both NHS approved and are a fantastic way to get you back on your feet as an alternative to using crutches.
- The StrideOn with its unique turning circle is the most manoeuvrable knee scooter on the market. It is therefore best suited for use in the home and at work. The StrideOn can also be used outside for shopping, visits to the hospital and over well maintained paths.
- The handlebars and the fully padded knee pad are totally adjustable for heights from 4ft 9” to 6ft 4” with a weight capacity of 28 stone. It also has dual ergonomic brake levers and a rear disc brake.
- The Orthomate with air filled tyres is our all-terrain model and as the name suggests best suited for those who will spend most of the time outside. It is incredibly easy to steer and is totally adjustable for heights from 5ft up to 6ft 3in. It has a weight capacity of 25 stone.
- Both scooters are easy to use, lightweight, foldable and come with a handy basket for your essentials. Both have parking brake options, so when using both hands the brakes remain locked to enable you to work safely.
- Whichever model you choose you will benefit from the freedom to get on with everyday life while recovering without the stress of using crutches.
