Orthopaedic Practitioner uses StrideOn for Haglund's deformity

- Our knee walker, the StrideOn is recommended by health professionals throughout the UK.
One of our main referrers is Whittington Health Trust in London and one of their team Ray, an Orthopaedic Practitioner, has just used the Orthomate following an Haglund's deformity operation.
Haglund's deformity is an abnormality of the bone and soft tissues in the foot. An enlargement of the bony section of the heel (where the Achilles tendon is inserted) triggers this condition. The soft tissue near the back of the heel can become irritated when the large, bony lump rubs against rigid shoes.
The operation successfully removed the heel spur and Ray required non-weightbearing support whilst recovering.
Ray said, “As an Orthopaedic Practitioner I give out your leaflets regularly and following on from my operation, I wanted to try the StrideOn/Orthomate for myself - Now I can tell all my patients how great it is! It has also been great fun taking my son to school!”
Whittington Health aims to help local people live longer and healthier lives by providing safe, personal, coordinated care for the community they serve.
They provide hospital and community care services to 500,000 people living in Islington and Haringey as well as other London boroughs including Barnet, Enfield, Camden and Hackney. As one organisation providing both hospital and community services, we are known as an ‘integrated care organisation’.
